Camera: SBIG STL-11000 with Astrodon Tru-Balance E-Series Gen2 filters

Guiding: SSAG, Celestron 80mm guide scope, 600mm.
Exposure: LRGB 150:80:70:65 All subs 5min. Luminance unbinned, RGB binned 2x2.

Calibrated and Stacked with CCDStack2; RGB combine and DDP with MaximDL. Processed with CS4.

I may have over-stretched the background a bit on this, but I wanted to show the dark nebulae, particularly the one that appears at the 3 o'clock position.

I was never particularly pleased with the original, so I re-processed it. Significant improvements came from:
a) using StarXTerminator to stretch the nebula separately from the stars.
b) using High Pass filter as primary means of sharpening. IN this case, I did 2 passes at 12px, and a single pass at 4px.
c) my first use of StarShrink to reduce bloating on larger stars.

The improvement was so dramatic that I re-posted this as a new photo.
