NGC 2841 is an unbarred spiral galaxy about 46 million light years away in Ursa Major. It is considered the prototype of a flocculent galaxy, whose spiral arms are patchy and discontinuous. It has a diameter of about 150,000 light years, making it about 50% larger than our Milky Way. It is an easy capture in small scopes, and is one of the brightest galaxies without either a Messier or Caldwell designation.

This is a minor re-process of an older image, using StarXTerminator and StarShrink to improve the original.
