Technically, NGC 7380 is the cluster embedded in this nebula, and the nebula itself is catalogued as Sh2-142. It is colloquially known as the Wizard Nebula. It is about 8,500 light years distant, and is estimated to be between 4 and 12 million years old.

I took lots of subs over 5 nights, with greatly varying conditions. I discarded over half of them because of clouds. The original image was reprocessed in 2024.
