NGC1491 - Emission Nebula in Perseus

Camera: SBIG STL-11000 with Astrodon Tru-Balance E-Series Gen2 filters
Temp: -15C
Mount: Losmandy Titan
Guiding: SSAG, Celestron 80mm guide scope, 600mm.
Exposure: LRGB 165:70:85:75 (L) (N)x5m, binned 1x1. RGB each (N)x5m, binned 2x2
Calibrated and Stacked with CCDStack2; RGB combine and DDP with MaximDL. Processed with CS4.
NGC1491 is an emission nebula in Perseus, about 10,700 light years distant. The central area is bright, but the surrounding gas is weakly ionized and very faint. It would probably show better if Ha signal was added to the image.
The image was taken in 2014, but re-processed in 2024.
